In order to give Philip a chance to sleep a little longer, we got dressed and went for a walk on the beach. We were by no means the only ones up at that early hour, and on the way back we got talking to one of the many fishermen who were trying their luck. He had caught one small dart, which he gave to the children "for their breakfast" (after checking that I would want to cook it for them. That meant the end of Philip's sleep-in after we got back, as I was prepered to cook, but not to clean the fish, and the children were keen to show it to him immediately!
After breakfast, we wandered into the street just outside the caravan park to have a look at a local craft market, where we bought some second hand books and some cakes and biscuits for morning tea.
Shortly after we got back, Hannah arrived. We all went down to the beach. The children had some fun snorkelling, and we enjoyed a special morning tea provided by Hannah.
Arthur fell asleep after his swim! |
Later, we all walked into town for lunch, and this evening we had a barbeque at Hannah's house, where we met her partner, Aaron. It's been another long day, and tomorrow we plan to visit Australia Zoo.

Nice pictures of the children on the beach. Arthur looked so relaxed sleeping on his towel...I guess you need to catch up sometime when you get up at 5 every morning. Have fun at Australia Zoo...another thing my children would love to do some day.
Nice to see, Amaria. I'm just off to take Katrina back to the airport now. Love, Henkela
