On the Road at Last!

Well, our travels have begun!
On Friday morning we paid a quick visit to Opa and Oma to drop off the keys and say goodbye, Philip hitched up the caravan and installed the level-rides and sway bar... and we were off! There was something really nice about hearing the school bell ring... but not for us!

Our first stop is Elphinstone, where we are spending a few days with  John, Jowie and Annika.  The children have been enjoying all the animals- Jimmy the dog, Arctic the cat, Alice and April the alpacas and the guinea pigs. (Annika will be looking after Esther and Arthur's guinea pigs while we are away.)

Toady we woke to a misty, wintry morning.

After breakfast, John took us to see some of the local sights. had a quick walk in Castlemaine, visited Chewton market, went "exploring", caught a frog and did some shopping in Bendigo.

Not surprising that the children are nice and tired!

Well, that was a good start. Just the kind of activities the children would enjoy! Missed them at Wollert today! A hug from opa for them!
